Dr. Stacey Alston, DDS
Dr. Alston has proudly served her community as a family dentist in Charlotte for 30 years. A Charlotte native, she graduated from East Mecklenburg High School before attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene in 1991 and her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1995. After completing her education, she returned to Charlotte to dedicate her career to helping patients achieve optimal oral health.
Dr. Alston is passionate about connecting oral health with overall well-being. Through extensive additional training in Sleep, Breathing, and Airway health, she has earned the distinguished title of Diplomate from the American Sleep and Breathing Academy. She and her team focus on identifying and addressing potential airway issues, such as sleep apnea, starting with screenings as early as age three. Dr. Alston’s goal is to address the root causes of health concerns to help prevent future complications and promote lifelong wellness.
While she practices all aspects of dentistry, including oral surgery, porcelain crowns, dental bridges, root canals, partials and dentures and cosmetic dentistry, Dr. Alston’s greatest passion is Airway orthodontics. She has been an Invisalign provider for over 20 years. Having the ability each day to be a part of building someone’s self-confidence, diminishing someone’s fears, or improving someone’s smile to bring them to tears is what drives her the most.
Dr. Alston is committed to staying current with advancements in dental care, continually learning and applying new techniques to benefit her patients. She is an active member of the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Society, Charlotte Dental Society, American Sleep and Breathing Academy, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, Airway Health Solutions, Charlotte Chamber of Commerce, and Matthews Chamber of Commerce.
Dedicated to giving back to the community, Dr. Alston volunteers at the NC Missions of Mercy dental clinics, as well as the Charlotte Men’s Shelter Dental Clinic and the Women’s Shelter. She and her team also participate in community events, including the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Awareness Walk and The Fight Against Alzheimer’s Walk.
Outside of her practice, Dr. Alston enjoys traveling, watching movies, and spending quality time with her family. Her unwavering commitment to patient care and community involvement makes her a trusted and beloved figure in the Charlotte dental community.
